Vegan Valentine’s Day Gifts With A Heart
Corny title, I know, but it works…
Oh hey, welcome back, me. Can you believe it’s already the last day of January?! I took some much needed time to get our family moved and settled in, but I’m so excited to be back in front of the computer screen. Well, it doesn’t sound exciting when I put it that way, but a month away feels like years in blog time! It has been strange to be in the kitchen creating meals without a camera or computer for recipe notes. In fact, I’ve made some really tasty meals I want to be sure to get on the blog. I can buy Gardein just minutes from our home now, and for a really good price at that, so I’ve been enjoying experimenting with their products in veganizing classic family dishes.
But enough about me! I want to know how you’ve been; fill me in on the news in your world!
Now, back to those Valentine’s Day gifts that give back. Whether you think Valentine’s Day is a real holiday or not, chances are someone you love does. Rather than drag yourself down the chain store seasonal isle, only to read the back of every single red heart-shaped chocolate box, searching in vain for anything vegan, order your sweetie something from Farm Sanctuary. Not only are the chocolates vegan and the necklaces by Christy Robinson, every purchase helps them keep doing what they’re doing to save lives.
Even if your loved one doesn’t like chocolate or want jewelry (*gasp*), consider a gift of love with a Farm Sanctuary sponsorship or one-time donation. See? I told you they were gifts with a heart! I know I always say this, but it’s never too late to start an annual tradition of sponsorship. Love and compassion are always in the February air!
See you tomorrow with a yummy vegan doughnut recipe!
How has your 2011 been so far? Any big plans or changes?
