Top 10 Vegan Cookbooks On My Wish List

November 19, 2010 by Keri

Last night, I posted my Top 10 Vegan Cookbooks, but I thought it would be fun to share the cookbooks I’ve picked out for future conquest.  Most of them are either brand new or not yet released, but there are a couple I have no excuses for not owning!  Here are the cookbooks currently on my wishlist:

500 Vegan Recipes

I love Celine and Joni’s recipes and darn it, I should own this book.  I pick it up at the bookstore every single time I’m there, but then my little man toddles up to me reading some new alphabet book, and I get all starry eyed over having a little boy who loves books as much as I do… so we get his book and go for juice.

Viva Vegan

Here’s another one that’s been in my clutches and didn’t make it to the register.  If I want a cookbook, I need to just forget looking in the store and buy it online.  I love Terry’s work with cupcakes and cookies, so I can’t wait to try her Latin cuisine!

Color Me Vegan

The idea of a cookbook based around eating colorful dishes sounds lovely to me.  And I bet these dishes will make for gorgeous photos!

The Skinny Bitch Ultimate Everyday Cookbook

My desire for this cookbook is entirely superficial at this point.  I picked one up for less than a minute as we were walking by a display the other day, and the book is just gorgeous.  I haven’t seen any of the recipe teasers or even titles, but the book is hardcover with full color glossy photos, thick pages, and a great layout.  Looks like it’s getting good reviews though, so I’m looking forward to adding to my collection!

The Vegan Girl’s Guide to Life

This book isn’t a cookbook, although it does have recipes, but rather a little of everything the vegan girl needs to know.  I’ve seen glowing reviews, and doesn’t it just look like such a fun book?!

The Happy Herbivore

Here begins the yet-to-be-released cookbooks on my list.  I love Lindsay’s recipes, and blog, and I can’t wait to get the book.  I bet the recipes are human-tested, pug-approved. Well, I mean the recipes with pug-safe ingredients, of course.  The release date is set for January 2011, but pre-orders are being taken.

Hearty Vegan

I was a tester for this cookbook, but I got in late in the game and missed a lot of great stuff.  I can’t wait to get my hands on this baby.  If you want to see some of the insane vegan goodness that is this cookbook, type Hearty Vegan in my site search bar to the right.  Insane. Goodness.  The release date is set for July 1, 2011, but pre-orders are being taken.

The Best Veggie Burgers on the Planet

Over 100 veggie burger recipes contained within one book?  Now that I have to try!  The release date for this cookbook is set for May 1, 2011, but pre-orders are being taken.

The Complete Guide to Vegan Food Substitutions

Celine and Joni are just on a roll, aren’t they?!  I think this looks like a great guide for any vegan, new or otherwise.  I decided I needed it after flipping through the “Look Inside” preview on Amazon.  The photos are fabulous and I love the layout!  This book is set to release January 1, 2011, so very soon,  but pre-orders are being taken.

Appetite for Reduction

It’s by Isa.  I want it.  I’m actually not looking for any reduction, but that’s okay!  It looks like the book is going to be packed with healthy, quick meals, so of course I’m on board!  Set to release in less than a month, December 7, 2010, pre-order are being taken.  Okay, it looks like pre-orders are being taken for all of them, doesn’t it?
