Silk Vegan Creamer

January 18, 2010 by Keri

I’m actually trying to kick the coffee habit after admitting I have a severe addiction to caffeine.  (I’m talking migraines and crappy mood swings when I missed my daily dose!)  But I do still enjoy a hot cup of coffee every now and then.  When I made the switch from vegetarian to vegan I was really into those flavored coffee creamers that come out in different delicious varieties with the seasons, and I thought I was doomed to never drink richly flavored creamer again.  One day when I was picking up a cold carton of organic soy milk from the refrigerated section , I looked up to see these tiny cartons of Silk.  Super excited, I grabbed up the French Vanilla variety and carted it home to try.  This stuff is seriously delicious!  I’ve repurchased several times since that day, and it gives my coffee a creamy, sweet, almost marshmallow-like flavor that I adore.  I also noticed Original and Hazelnut options depending on your personal taste, but I haven’t been able to pass up my precious French Vanilla in order to try them yet.

Lol . . . that is my favorite too!!! Especially in Dunkin’ Donuts coffee 🙂 You should also try a half/half mix of silk chocolate soy milk and coffee, its like an amazing chocolate/caffeine fix to last all day 🙂
