Thank you SO much for posting these! I hate having to use the plastic produce bags but, having worked in a grocery store for 4 years, also know how unsanitary the check-out areas are! This is the perfect solution.

Hmm, I take all of my produce out of the bags and store it in the fridge or pantry naked. I keep my greens in the "cheese" drawer of my fridge and it really seems to keep them fresh. Hope you find something that works for you!

I have developed quite the aversion to plastic bags over the last few years, and that includes those pesky produce bags. I agree, it's a little annoying when someone throws, like, two apples into a plastic bag, but I get that it's convenient and we can't always avoid them. I'll definitely have to check out those reusable plastic bags...if not fashion some of my own. :)

I use these bags also...but they don't work well for spinach. Seems like greens wilt quickly in these bags. Anyone found an alternative for those leafy greens?

I love the idea of these! I have had a similar product on mywishlist since December but totally forgot about them. Thanks for re-igniting that spark!

it is the simplest thing in the world to take a piece of fabric and with a running stitch make a bag. so those of you who would rather save your money, just ask a friend who sews for scraps. sheets and pillowcases which are ready for the rag bag make good veggie bags, too.

I’m surprised they pull! The polyester seems so much more durable than the nylon ones I’ve come across. Oh well, I’m okay with a few pulls.

I have these bags and do like them, but just a word of warning. They can get pulls from things like grapes, bananas, and other things with stems. I know you are thinking why would you bag bananas anyway, but that is just something they do here in the Middle East. I've tried to get them not to, but haven't been successful.

Absolutely! "Machine wash cold, line dry." But I'll probably just hand wash and lay flat to dry.
