Pink Protein Power Vegan Smoothie
Man, if I could just think of a word for smoothie that started with P, I’d be awesome! Anyway, it’s not that I need a lot of extra protein in my diet, but honestly I’m just bad at breakfast. I love to make breakfast foods at other meals, but I guess my appetite just doesn’t wake up before noon. Being able to get my metabolism going and get the day started with necessary nutrients by drinking a vegan smoothie has been a real help to my morning meal issues.
I recently purchased a big container of Sun Warrior Raw Vegan Protein Powder, and wanted to give it a try in a classic smoothie. How can you go wrong with strawberry banana?! I was nervous about buying so much without tasting it first, because let’s be honest, if it tastes like mud I’m not going to be inclined to drink the stuff no matter how fabulously nutritious it may be. Luckily, the flavor is pretty good. I can definitely tell there is a protein powder in my smoothie, but the flavor isn’t at all overpowering or unpleasant. It’s amazing how long a little smoothie like this can keep you from feeling hungry!
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 1 banana
- 1 tablespoon hemp seeds
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
Blend ingredients until smooth. Enjoy!
