Mom’s Biscuits And Sausage Gravy (But Vegan)
I grew up on biscuits and gravy. It’s probably my mom’s most-made dish, even to this day, especially on special occasions or when there is company. So whenever I make biscuits and sausage gravy for my family’s vegan breakfast (lunch or dinner), I use my mom’s recipe; I just vegafy it. Talk about smelling amazing, this sausage gravy makes the house smell absolutely delicious and it tastes as good (maybe better) than it smells. - 1 package Field Roast Smoked Apple Sage Sausages
- 2 cups unsweetened almond milk (or unsweetened soy)
- 1/4 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon vegan worcestershire sauce
- pinch of sea salt
In a large skillet over medium heat, chop sausages with a spatula until desired consistency (anywhere from very fine to large chunks depending on your preference). Once sausage is lightly browned, stir in almond milk. Add in flour, worcestershire and sea salt, and continue to stir over medium-high heat until gravy thickens. Serve over warm biscuits. Enjoy!
