Keri’s Cranberry Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Vegan Cookies
It’s a common misconception among my friends and family that putting the word “vegan” in a recipe automatically makes it healthy. This vegan cookie recipe came about as my way to prove them completely wrong. Okay, actually this became a favorite in my family after toying with both classic and vegan recipes for the perfect combination. Enjoy!

Ingredients:
- 1 cup vegan butter
- 2 tablespoons nondairy milk
- 3/4 cup organic sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 /2 cup oats
- 1 cup vegan chocolate chips
- 1 cup organic dried cranberries
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix ingredients until well blended. Roll into 1 inch balls and place onto foil covered cookie sheets by the dozen. Press down dough balls with a fork or hand to slightly flatten. Bake 15-17 min, since oven temperatures vary. Remove from oven and remove foil sheet from cookie pan to prevent the cookies from continuing to bake. Allow to cool, at least long enough to avoid injury. Chow down, and try to save some for your loved ones, but if you hide them in a cupboard no one checks, I understand.

these look YUM!
if we’re not vegan can we substitute the 1 cup vegan margerine, 2 tbsp soy milk, and 3/4 cup organic sugar with 1 cup butter, 2 tbsp whole milk, and 3/4 cup reg. sugar? will it taste the same?
Yes, that would work as well.
