Just Fine and Dandies Vegan Rice Crispy Treats
Actually, these aren’t “just fine”, they’re awesome, but I was trying to be clever with the title there… I don’t remember rice crispy treats being my childhood favorite; I think I was more of a cheesecake and chocolate chip cookie kind of kid. But I’m definitely a crispy treat convert. When I first moved from a town with a Whole Foods, I had a small stock pile of Chicago Soydairy’s Dandies vegan marshmallows on hand for marshmallow treat square emergencies. Let’s just say it went fast. So, as you can imagine, the package of Dandies sent to me by Chicago Soydairy was jealously guarded for the perfect rice crispy treat making occasion. Turns out the perfect rice crispy treat making occasion was a random Monday.

If you have a sensitivity to gluten, don’t count yourself out from enjoying this classic treat just yet. I read recently on Air Eater that the brand name cereal, Rice Krispies, is releasing a gluten-free brown rice cereal in June. I’m not gluten-sensitive, but I personally prefer the brown rice cereal too, although I currently use the Whole Foods brown rice cereal or something comparable from our local co-op. If you’re planning to try out the big name brand cereal, though, you may want to contact the company concerning the origins of the ingredients. I’ve read a few company replies posted online reporting their cereals are not vegan.

What was your favorite childhood treat?

Wow, couldn’t be easier! I need to get my hands on some Dandies!
I know! They’re just perfect. Dessert in under 5 minutes! Sadly, it’s not easy for me to get my hands on Dandies anymore.. I guess I’ll just have to order a few bags from Vegan Essentials!
That sounds really good. Good to know Dandies work well in rice crispies treats!
Oh yes, rest assured they’re just perfect for crispy treats!
Oh I haven’t had these in forever and really need to get me some Dandies!!
These would definitely be my go-to treat if I could get Dandies locally. I need to stock up again!

Great treat
Thanks!
These look pretty darn good any way you stack them!

These look like the perfect treats to make for my next veggie social! I saw vegan marshmallows at my local health food store the other day and was inclined to buy them but I had no real use for them so thanks for this recipe
Thanks for the great, simple recipe
The kids love them!
I am definitely trying out this recipe out (how easy could it get?!) especially for my 8 year old son, who is going to go nuts when I surprise him with these!! yummmmmm
One more thing. I really believe that there are many travel insurance web-sites of respected companies that allow you enter a trip details and find you the prices. You can also purchase an international holiday insurance policy on-line by using the credit card. All you have to do would be to enter your own travel details and you can view the plans side-by-side. You only need to find the plan that suits your budget and needs and then use your bank credit card to buy the idea. Travel insurance online is a good way to take a look for a dependable company pertaining to international travel insurance. Thanks for giving your ideas.
Thanks for the unique tips contributed on this website. I have seen that many insurance firms offer consumers generous special discounts if they prefer to insure many cars with them. A significant number of households currently have several cars these days, specifically those with older teenage children still located at home, along with the savings on policies can easily soon begin. So it makes sense to look for a good deal.
I want to say thank you for posting this, I really enjoy your blog posts for a long while now and just wanted you to know I love coming here. On a lighter note, will the newly proposed DARPA law effect blog comments?
