Happy 3rd Birthday, Little Man!
Please excuse my lack of posts this week, but I’ve been so busy getting ready for our son’s Cat in the Hat birthday party this weekend (as well as nursing a bad sore throat and migraines, but that’s another story)!
I can’t believe my little man is turning 3 already; it seems like no time at all has gone by since his last birthday. Slow down, time! I have been so blessed to get to spend every day of the last 3 years with this amazing small person. Oh geez, I can’t even type that one sentence without getting all teary eyed. What happened to me?! Motherhood has turned me into such a hopeless sap! In an instant I went from worrying about case files, voicemails, and appointments to fretting over pointy objects, toxins, and bullies. If you don’t have kids, believe me, the world is full of sharp edges and BPA!
I’ve learned so much more from my little guy than I ever could have imagined was possible; And here I thought I was the one supposed to be doing the teaching and giving. He’s given me the sweetest reason in the world to get out of bed every morning, to be the best person I can possibly be, and to think about what really matters. So here’s to March 4th: the day holidays became exciting again, a kiss became a legitimate medical cure-all, and my world forever became a better place.
If you leave Little Man a happy birthday comment, I’ll let him read them tonight. He’d be so excited to get messages!!
